UGC NET Paper 1 ICT: Detailed Study Notes
ICT is one of the most scoring Paper 1 units: about 5 questions, 10 marks. These notes run from computer basics through networks, the internet, e-learning, cyber law and Digital India, and end with the exam pattern and an A to Z abbreviations list. Digital initiatives (Topic 14), cyber law (Topic 15) and abbreviations (Topic 18) are asked almost every year, so start there if time is short.

How to use these notes
- Round 1: ReadGo topic by topic in order. Topics 1 to 13 are stable computer, internet and learning concepts that repeat in pattern; Topics 14 to 16 carry the facts examiners ask most often.
- Round 2: ReviseSwitch on Revision mode on any topic page. You see each section's key terms, lists and tables without the explanations. Rewrite the tables from memory the next day.
- Last week: RecallUse the rapid-recall sheet (digital initiatives, arrange-in-order sequences and abbreviations), the checklist in Topic 17, then practise MCQs topic by topic.
