UGC NET Law (058) Constitutional and Administrative Law: Detailed Study Notes
Constitutional and Administrative Law is a core unit of Law 058, and it rewards both concepts and recall: Articles, landmark cases and amendments are tested alongside doctrines. These notes run from the Preamble through Fundamental Rights, the Union and State governments, Emergency and the Election Commission, then into Administrative Law (delegated legislation, natural justice, judicial review). Topics 16 to 25 are built for revision: Article tables, case laws, amendments, recent cases (2019 to 2026), doctrines, comparison tables, commissions, statutes and mnemonics.

How to use these notes
- Round 1: ReadGo through Topics 1 to 15 in order. Each sub-topic explains the rule, the Articles behind it and the cases that decided it. Topics 13 to 15 (Administrative Law) are shorter but tested on concepts, so read them slowly.
- Round 2: ReviseSwitch on Revision mode on any topic page to see only each section's key terms, lists and tables. Then work through Topics 16 to 18 (Article, case and amendment tables) and Topic 21 (comparison tables).
- Last week: RecallUse the rapid-recall sheet (Articles, landmark cases, amendments, commissions), then Topics 24 and 25, and practise MCQs topic by topic.
